Fall is just around the corner, and at Dick Poe Dodge, we happen to think it's one of the best times to own a pickup truck. Whether you're going on an end-of-summer roadtrip, heading off-roading or tailgating at a football game, new RAM trucks ready with their versatility.
There is a downside, though, with the increased activity load your truck can really take a beating. Mud, water, and sand can all affect the paint job and the we're pretty certain you'd like to keep your 1500 or 2500 looking like new for as long as possible. We'd like to share a few tips to keep your pickup's look in tip-top shape.
Caring For Your RAM Truck's Paint:- Regular Washings: Over time, debris on the exterior surface of your pickup can produce small scratches in the clear coat leading to rust and a lackluster finish. Washing your truck often, the correct way, minimizes this risk. If you're washing by hand, make sure you do it out of direct sunlight, which can cause uneven drying.
- Drying and Waxing Tips: Make sure you use a clean cotton towel for drying. Regular waxing prevents fading and scratching, keeping it looker newer, longer.
- Park Your Truck in the Shade: Direct sunlight can lead to dulling, cracking, and fading.
