Truck makers are rushing to constantly make the best product in the congested pickup market today. We think RAM is tops, having brought out the best for the new 2014 model year.
Impressive changes for the latest models include some of the most innovative engines we've seen in a while. Both the light-duty 1500 model and heavy-duty RAM 2500 and 2500 models received engine updates with both of the heavy-duty models having the option of a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine.
On top of the new details under the hood, there are many other fresh features for the 2014 model year like new colors, including Granite Crystal (gray) and Blue Streak. Crew Cab trucks have a new flat-load floor and the Chassis Cabs will hold more weight than ever before, with the 5500 being able to carry up to 37,500 pounds of cargo. The Chassis Cabs will also receive features including a Vehicle System Interface Module and a Powernet, both crucial when hauling havy loads.
RAM boasts several best-in-class designations for its commercial-grade trucks, such as the largest brakes, Wi-Fi hotspot-like UConnect system and a 15,000-mile allowance between oil changes for the diesel models. They are certainly is putting up quite a challenge for their competitors and we are excited to see what they have in the plans for the future!
