Recently, after taking six months to explore large SUVs and carlike crossovers, the auto fanatics at The Car Connection decided it was time for a change. For the month of May, the organization will be employing the skills of a 2013 RAM 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4X4 for its "30 Days of the 2013 RAM 1500, and it will be asking several pressing questions, including how much the pickup can carry and tow.
You'd be amazed what the leaner version of the RAM 1500 can do. The Car Connection tested out some whacky items in the truck's bed, and these are the numbers they came up with: sixteen hundred cans of SPAM, eight hundred rabbits, five bighorn rams, seven hundred and fifty Pop-Tarts in a small U-Haul trailer, about 800 dodge balls, the current cast of Mob Wives (though you'd need to sit them according to current feuds), or the 1,200-1,400 lb. bar from the Love Boat.
2013 RAM 1500 Model Year Updates:
The RAM 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4X4 version of the truck features a V-6 engine and 4WD. It has a tow rating of 4,100 pounds and 1,615 pounds of payload.
This is just the beginning of what the new RAM can do, however. To get a comprehensive look at the RAM 1500, stop in and see us here at Dick Poe Dodge during regular business hours. We're located in El Paso, TX and are always here to talk new RAM vehicles with you, as well as set up a test drive at your convenience.
