In any discussion about rugged, hard-working trucks, it is imperative to include the dynamic Ram 1500 in the conversation. Here at Dick Poe Dodge Ram, we're proud to have it in our inventory, and we were excited when heard that, this morning, Automotive Fleet magazine announced that its readers had selected the 1500 as the 2015 Fleet Truck of the Year.
20,000 owners and operators of truck fleets weighed in with their opinions as to which trucks best fit their fleet requirements. Forty trucks qualified for the ballot. They were evaluated based on a number of metrics, including durability, task effectiveness, lifecycle costs, and quality.
Sherb Brown, vice president of Automotive Fleet, had high praise for the 1500. “There is little doubt, looking at the ballots, that the Ram 1500 is resonating with our readers — commercial fleet managers of the largest fleets in nation,” he said. "Competition in this segment is really tough, but the Ram 1500 edged out the other brands in this year’s voting by delivering the capabilities fleets need for their day-to-day operations.”
