The new Ram 3500 has been strengthened and is now more-powerful than ever. One of the leading trucks in the heavy-duty pickup truck category, the Ram 3500 mixes extreme power and comfortable luxury very well. The Ram 3500 is available in several different cab and truck bed configurations.
Powerful Eight
The Ram 3500 is available with a 6.4-liter V8 engine, which is the standard powertrain of the lineup. The 6.4-liter V8 gasoline engine that is in the new Ram 3500 produces 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission connects power from the V8 engine to the truck’s drivetrain.
Inline-Six Power
Two of the available Ram 3500 powertrains are powered by the same 6.7-liter inline-six cylinder diesel engine. The 6.7-liter engine produces 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque for the first powertrain. In the second powertrain, the six-cylinder engine produces 400 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
