Dodge Rams are some of the toughest vehicles on the planet. Built to haul heavy cargo and drive thousands of miles, Rams are also some of the most capable trucks on the planet. The 2022 Ram 1500, as the “lightest duty” truck that Dodge makes, is able to tow an impressive 12,750 pounds by itself. That’s possible due to its status as the most powerful factory-installed engine to ever be put in a half-ton pickup. With an unbelievably powerful 702-horsepower, 650 pound-feet of torque engine that reaches a top speed of 118 mph, the 2022 Ram 1500 can be equipped with a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 that doesn't mess around.
The engine isn’t the only thing that the 2022 Ram 1500 has going for it in terms of performance, either. It’s constructed out of 98 percent high-tensile-strength steel for improved durability and longevity, too. This allows the Ram 1500 to carry up to a 2,300-pound payload.
